Molly recuperating following the amputation of leg
So far, no problems following chemotherapy yesterday. Today Molly joined us in the yard and is actually moving around quite a bit.
Glad to hear Molly is getting around so well. They adapt so quickly and move forward with their lives as if nothing has happened it is amazing just how well they cope. I hope she has a speedy recovery. It is us doggie parents that actually have to learn how to cope.
My Tahji had her rear leg amputated in late March due to cancer. I think I was more devasted then she. When the techs brought her into the room where I was waiting to take her home the day after surgery she ran over to me as if to say, just take me home please I will be fine. She has improved daily now and gets around totally independent of me in the house and yard. When we go out she has a special harness and also a special doggie wheels for the park and beach. Unfortunately, the cancer she has will eventually spread to her internal organs, but for now her ultrasound and xrays are clean. She is on lomustine treatments and is doing quite well. She remains happy and playful. She tells me everyday, that she will be around for a long time to come. She just has it too good here. Best of luck to you and Molly.
